When in love,
will you still have time for unfaithfulness and all the subtle forms of it?
No, because you’re too busy adoring the one you love.
Consider your relationships — much more with God.
One quick test if you’re in love is by the eyes — if they see nothing else more desirable than the One the heart sees.rachelligraphy
In the same manner, A heart that is faithfully in love with God has no time flirting with this world.
It has no time to withdraw its eyes from Him, not even a second because it is so much captivated by the beauty of Him.
It has no time pondering other options because He is not just the number one; He is its “only One.”
It has no time comparing Him with other things, for it is content in having Him alone.
It has no time wooing other hearts for its utmost desire is nothing else than the joy of Him, and its greatest fear is in hurting Him.
It has no time thinking for itself — of what it can gain — for its grandest joy is in what more it could give.
It has no time to falter and flicker because it doesn’t just spark; it burns.
No one is ever in love until he is foolish for all the reasons a mediocre would accuse. Because love, it only gives what is best.
Dear heart, are you truly, faithfully, in love with your Savior just as you claim to be?
Test your answer by these.
“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.”Revelations 2:4
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”1 John 2:15
